Sunday Sunday!

I cannot believe how long it has taken to develop the design for the Christmas Decorations label....I'm sure I started at about 2 o'clock it's now past 5!!!

The first lot are printing off (very slowly I might add!) now.

They look alright seeing as they were done in Paint and not Publisher!  I can't afford it at the moment and so will not let me edit the previous versions I had done on my old computer.

It's printing on Transparent Film which I peel off and stick onto luggage tags.  I like it!

Here's the Flutterby Scarf Kit one

What else has happened I listed some more Christmas deco's on Folksy.

I have also left an inquiry about a craft fair stall place in a couple of North West venues.....more info when I check after this!

And hurrah I have just two more Christmas deco's to couch the hanging loop on!

That's it for now.....I have to steal up to a dare two members of the Gundog club have set me up to do........I should have backed down....don't know why I didn't????  It's not gonna be nice.

regards,
Jacqui

Wildflower UnderFoot previously Lime n Choc Embroidery Fabric!

What came first then? I love walking about the wild areas near where I live.  They are not big spaces, they're spaces people have forgotten and not used! As I walk I ponder on life's stuff and look about me.  I know this sounds deep but I do like the freedom of it!       I had already started this fabric...sewing lime green shiny fabric onto a muslin base adding hand dyed lace in places on top.  The fabric was sewn down in gathers and pleats in waves.     Don't know why but I decided chocolate coloured lining fabric is what was needed between, beneath the pleats.  Then green lining fabric was added to balance the lime green...        Lots of machine stitching to bed the chocolate sections in. It was at this point I decided to cut the piece into 3....for better or worse!  As this is now a piece that is in the making for months...how many I've forgotten....   ...

Creation of a dream

I should have started this two years ago! That`s when the dream of Fibre Dreams began to take shape! So after this long journey i am ready to start on the road trip of a lifetime. I shall boldly go onto the Internet with my handmade products. I have a transporter full of the extra materials and equipment i think other fibre craft people would like to have as well... I`ve got the stuff now i need to learn how to set up a website...or set up shop on big shop site (you know the bay thingeo!). I will even learn how to post photo`s of my products. Fibre Dreams.....First frustration was not understanding why the telephone number is not recognised when i tried to .com my blog site? And why you have to have a fax if you are setting up as a business?? And where do i go to get these answers.... But a successful day on the knitted blooms broaches!! So at this point in time if you have experience setting up fibre craft websites i would be grateful for any positive comments! If you have any in...

Adore Lamor Fabric Dyeing!

I love fabric dyeing! I was looking at the fabric I have for sale on my ebay shop and the fabric that flew off the shelf and knew I had to replace....woohoo!! Which colours was the question, as I'm walking my dog through the wildflower meadow in my local park!  Ah yes meadow colours! Buff no brainer!   So here we go kitchen and diner transformation...ta da....chemistry lab! No really everything has to get covered by a cover, as the dyes get everywhere!     My complicated and expensive tools (!) Although the metal measuring spoons and the thermometer are essential and a brilliant buy as they make ME more accurate in my measurements!    I use 100% cotton calico PDF ready to dye fabric.  The fabric is steeping in warm water to open the fibres to take the dye.   Keeping an eye on the temperature of the water, it should be around 110 degrees to add to the powder dye.    Yes...
