Phew!

I am so happy!!! My little girl is now a Mrs!  She makes me very proud of the way she has conducted her life so far.  An honest, hardworking, empathetic smasher of a daughter! She lives in Australia now with her new husband and they had decided to get married here in Liverpool, UK!  So not only have we all had to cope with the 'stress' (if that's the right description?) of arranging a wedding but poor daughter and husband had to do it long distance! Any hoo after 8 months the wedding went off beautifully!  I had to walk her down the aisle as her own dad died 17yrs ago...I cannot remember being that shaky nervous EVER!   They look lovely together!     Arrhh well back to 'normal' life and plans to get myself over to the land of Oz for a hol!       I had a good week selling my wares last week...(well won't pay the bills yet !!)...most important sales were the fabric I make and the dyed fabric I sell.   F...
I had a conversation with a family member yesterday about re-opening my Etsy shop Fibre dreams here: Miss Dee's Fibre Dreams shop Jokingly they laughed and said "what's the sweetener?" , pardon, his face looked a little uncomfortable (!)  I said 95 pence like everyone else when you buy more than one.  Ok mizo me but who else would work for less than £3.00 an hour and my lovely Christmas hangings take longer than that I assure you! Unique and handcrafted crazy quilted Christmas tree decorations. I love making the fabric for these....I can't explain fully why...perhaps it's because you're creating a unique fabric and a bit of a gamble on how it'll turn out! I have also been looking into running starting(?) a Craft Market Stall.  I don't know how many craft events I have attended but it's amazing what you miss or never think about.  Like what kind of table can I get, a DIY store are selling pasting tables for £9.99, one or two? Wha...

Creation of a dream

I should have started this two years ago! That`s when the dream of Fibre Dreams began to take shape! So after this long journey i am ready to start on the road trip of a lifetime. I shall boldly go onto the Internet with my handmade products. I have a transporter full of the extra materials and equipment i think other fibre craft people would like to have as well... I`ve got the stuff now i need to learn how to set up a website...or set up shop on big shop site (you know the bay thingeo!). I will even learn how to post photo`s of my products. Fibre Dreams.....First frustration was not understanding why the telephone number is not recognised when i tried to .com my blog site? And why you have to have a fax if you are setting up as a business?? And where do i go to get these answers.... But a successful day on the knitted blooms broaches!! So at this point in time if you have experience setting up fibre craft websites i would be grateful for any positive comments! If you have any in...
