Phew!

I am so happy!!! My little girl is now a Mrs!  She makes me very proud of the way she has conducted her life so far.  An honest, hardworking, empathetic smasher of a daughter! She lives in Australia now with her new husband and they had decided to get married here in Liverpool, UK!  So not only have we all had to cope with the 'stress' (if that's the right description?) of arranging a wedding but poor daughter and husband had to do it long distance! Any hoo after 8 months the wedding went off beautifully!  I had to walk her down the aisle as her own dad died 17yrs ago...I cannot remember being that shaky nervous EVER!   They look lovely together!     Arrhh well back to 'normal' life and plans to get myself over to the land of Oz for a hol!       I had a good week selling my wares last week...(well won't pay the bills yet !!)...most important sales were the fabric I make and the dyed fabric I sell.   F...

Itchy palm and Branding!

Had an itchy palm yesterday was really thinking someone has bought something....arrhhh but no! Oh well onward! I have done a fair bit of researching lately into selling at craft fairs.  Instead of making it easier to take the first steps it's making it harder!!  Where/why/who/when and what!  Never mind the how! So many other things to think of never mind your stock!! Talking about stock I've tagged and bagged my Christmas dec's.     They are large luggage labels with a transparent self adhesive backing printed with xmas salutations for the front!     On the back using the same printed transparent film is my business logo and Folksy shop address.     Here's an example of the deco attached to the label...through the string attachment hole...good hey! And another in the transparent bag packaging.     I've also done this for the Stitch Keepers.     Front of label, stitch ke...

Raising the internet profile and other things!

One line a zillion threads!! I forgot from last time I tried online shop building how tiring on the eyes and spirit trying to get your work noticed is.  It's a constant shout 'hey how fab is my stuff'.  Well anyone who knows me knows I am very good at boosting others up rather than myself....I guess that's why children, in the classes I taught tried at the work I set!  Oh and it was fun!!  Making stuff these are skills I passionately feel everyone should have. So what have I listed this week. These   Stitch Keepers.   I love this idea.  Just wish others would!    They keep your stitches on the needles when you are not knitting.  The commercial ones are awful just a blob of rubbery plastic to stick on needle ends.  I can't count the amount of times I've taken my knitting out of the bag and I've got dropped stitches or the knitted item comes off completely...grrrr!     And this My Flutterby ...
